Richmond is a beautiful rural town located to the west of the Green Mountains and to the east of the Lake Champlain Valley. The Winooski River runs through the town of 4,090 residents from east to west, as does Interstate 89, the New England Central Railway, and U.S. Route 2. The Town was organized in 1795.  It is recognized for being home to the National Historic Landmark Old Round Church, a 16-sided church built in 1813. This church was considered to be among one of the first community churches in the country.

Richmond is a flourishing small community.  It has great live music, a popular local downtown market, plus other shops and restaurants.
